Return on Sales Calculator
A simple but very useful calculator that tells you how profit you’re going to make from a sale, and thus how well your company is doing at being a profitable business on any particular sale. Return on Sales (or just ROS, to keep things short and simple) is just a measure of how much money your company keeps per pound spent from each sale presented as a percentage. So, if your company keeps £0.18 of each pound spent in a sale, that’s 18% ROS.
Examples:
Operating Income = £360
Net Sales = £2,000
ROS = 18%
To work out the Operating Income of your business, if unsure, use the Net Income Calculator.
